Ok, so most of you know that I am a volunteer at NSCD as an adaptive ski instructor. Some of the kiddos that come through there are so inspiring because of the manner with which they deal with their disabilities. I can’t even imagine how scary it must be for a kid with CP or Downs or visually impaired to trust a complete stranger while heading down a ski hill. For those of you who ski, do you remember how intimidating it was to take those first few runs–and that was without any type of disability?!! These kiddos have guts and courage and they inspire me every week 🙂
