Y’all just read about my latest decision pertaining to the Denver Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon: I am sooooooo in. I’m gonna run it with Angel, Cindy, and Megan, and I’m pretty pumped. But in more exciting news, I also registered for another tri!
I’ll pause for the collective HOORAYS that you are more than likely shouting.
Looks like I’ll be doing the Athleta Iron Girl Sprint Tri in Boulder on August 27. In all honesty, I picked it because it’s a super short distance and I think it will be just plain FUN! Because it’s so short and it’s all female (no need to remind you about that unfriendly man that punched me in the water at the Boulder Sprint Tri), there isn’t a lot of stress involved. The swim is only 400 yards, which is nothing in comparison to other distances that I’ve completed in the past. Again, my friend Cindy will be joining me, so that makes it even better! I haven’t had the chance to complete any type of tri this summer with all of the events I have been doing for First Descents, so I’m just excited to get back into it….even if it’s just a little 🙂
And on that note, I saw this quote on the homepage of You Just Have to Tri, and it totally made me laugh out loud (yes, I literally LOL’d). Sounds just like me!
Now I just have to come up with some type of training plan to cover both races!!
Do you have any late season races coming up?

Where to start? First off thanks for stopping by my blog and thanks for the shout out here. I too love that quote and it fits me to a T 🙂
2nd..you are going to L-O-V-E LOVE THE Iron Girl event, although it was done by Aflac last year I would guess not much has changed, prepare to be wowed and if you have a chance check out my race report from last year.. and make sure you are hungry when you finish!
Next Chia seeds…love them! Didn’t know about the butter thing though I’m going to be trying that for sure!
Looking forward to following you! I’m still undecided about the Rock n’ Roll 1/2…I wasn’t as impressed last year as I had hoped, but that could be because it was the first year.
Ah HAHAHAHA! That’s super funny. I love cheesy short liners.
If they are going to name it Iron Girl, they need to do better with not making the logo look so whimpy.
My sister did the Rock n Roll half marathon in San Antonio and loved it! I haven’t done any long distance races like that but I’d love to get into triathlons! The only problem is, I don’t exactlyyy have a bike or any of the necessary equipment :-/ How did you get started?
