Anything to avoid writing more lesson plans!

I have a lot of homework to do. Like lots. I have a bunch due for class this Tuesday, but then I also have to do everything that will be due for class at the end of the month since I’ll be coming back right around then. And I don’t want to do any of it so I am doing anything possible to avoid it!!!!!!!! 🙂

Went and saw the musical Legally Blonde last night with a group of 15 other girls–talk about ladies’ night! It was actually really cute and pretty funny and I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The unfortunate downside of the musical is that one of the songs is still stuck in my head! All morning I’ve been running around singing, “Oh my god, ohmigod you guys!” over and over! I even had it in my head while doing P90X this morning–try singing a Legally Blonde song while doing pullups with Tony Horton–NOT a good combo!

On another note, almost done with my NSCD required days and am sad to see it finish. I had some really fun kids this winter and am very excited to come back next season and do it all over again! They have an extended stay program that i might look into next year though–I work with the same family for a week instead of coming up every Friday or something. We’ll see. I am excited though cause I think I’m gonna help out with their summer therapeutic rock climbing program. It’s based in Eldo Canyon so its less of a drive and it seems to only be on weekends. Still need to talk to the volunteer coordinator but I imagine they always need the help!

Has anyone else noticed that it is apparently the year for weddings? Already, between the months of April and September, I have FOUR weddings that I need to be at: one in April, one in September, and two on the exact same day in June. That one poses a problem and I am sad that I can’t make Char’s in NC–but family awaits in Cincinnati! The even crazier thing is that only one is in Colorado-the rest are in North Carolina, Ohio, and Vermont. Sounds like a year for a lot of fun weekend trips! 🙂

You know what is even more fun? I found our old Nintendo in the basement and set it up and it STILL WORKS! We still have Mario Brothers 1 and 3, as well as Duck Hunt and every last game works….albeit, with a bit of blowing on the games to get the dust out 🙂 Seriously, all I want to do is play Mario 3–I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I still remember how to get to the secret worlds and find the warp whistles even!
