So, we made it about a week in Uruguay, and then we left. It is a nice country, but nothing to actually DO there… if that makes any sense. The town of Colonia was beautiful, however, so definitely not a waste of time. The beaches were nice too, but it is creeping up on winter here in the southern hemisphere, so it is getting a little too chilly for the beach!
I was going to mention this disgusting meal we had the other day. When we first got to Colonia, we sat down in this cafe that had a lunch special of a “parillada” which is like a big barbeque. We were like sweet, not realizing that it was a grill of a bunch of different kinds of meats, the majority of which were absolutely disgusting. I actually took pictures of the meal because it looked so gross. And then I took pictures of Steve eating it. And then pictures of my face after I ate it. And oh yeah. This is the dog that we kept flinging the food to when the waiter wasn´t looking. We named him Chubbs since he was pretty fat for a street dog, but boy, was he happy with the scraps of disgustingness we sent his way!
Back in Buenos Aires AGAIN, and probably for the last time. We are headed up to northern Argentina to Corrientes, and from there, we hopefully will go into the Iberá Wetlands….which I think I may have already said on another post. I forget. Short term memory and such!
