Just a Colorado Gal

Back in the Good Ol’ US of A

Alas, I have made it back from my travels….or at least this round, anyway. It’s kinda strange, when you think about it. Out of the last 18 months, I have spent 13 or 14 of them living out of a backpack or panier bags…..and this from the girl who owns at least 50 or 60 pairs of shoes! I was glad to come back home this time, and I think it is a sign that I need to settle down–at least for a little while–find a job, get a place to live, and play with my puppy….and maybe throw in some triathlon training as well. Of course, this is what I am saying now….ask me in a few months when I am dying to go scuba diving, and well, you may just get a different answer!

So, yes, it’s true. I had to bribe my way into Cambodia because I am a jackass and misunderstood visa requirements…..definitely not the country you want to be screwing off in, however, since it is completely lawless–and did I mention that there are still land mines covering half the country, waiting to be stepped on? Ha! Angkow Wat was incredible, and definitely a highlight of the trip for me. I think I have been spoiled, however, by seeing so many amazing ruins over the past year and half!

Spent the end of our trip kicking around Bangkok….what a crazy city. So based on sex and sex and more sex that I didn’t even know what to do. Spent some time with my friend Ricky who just moved to Thailand, and he joined my family and I at a transvestite cabaret show. It was unbelievable, because I seriously thought these “ladyboys,” as the Thai people call them, were beautiful!

So yes, I am back, and yes, it is FREEZING here! I made the mistake of wearing Tevas yesterday, and getting off the plane was a bit of a shock! I would like to catch up with everyone to hear how y’all are, so give me a call or stop by….or come help me move in a few weeks!
