Beanies are the key to life (giveaway!)

Guys, I have some news.

It snowed again last night!

To be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about this second go-round. We still have feet of snow piled up everywhere, and I was planning on running outside today. Not that we got a lot–just a few inches–but on top of the gazillion flakes we already have, it seemed a little excessive. And slippery– no running outside for me today!

Am I whining?

Anyway, I debated holding on this giveaway for a few weeks because I just finished up with Gymboss and I know how annoying it is when you read blogs and it’s product after product, giveaway after giveaway. However, this one is kind of, shall we say, time sensitive.

Remember last week’s post about my 11 random things? A lot of you mentioned loving the camel (sassy bastard) but even more of you loved my new beanie! I had quite a few of you ask where it came from, and one reader even went out and purchased her own! In light of this, I decided to do some reconnaissance for y’all.

I got in touch with Suzanne, the owner of Akinz, the clothing company that supplied my beanie. She and I met back when we both lived up in Steamboat, although she and her company are now based in Fort Collins. I told her how much y’all loved my beanie, and she kindly offered one up as a giveaway!

The cool part about Akinz is that it truly is Suzanne’s company. To the best of my knowledge, she is the only employee and she does it all. She designs all the images on the clothing, and she still hand makes every. single. one. of the beanies. How is that for quality assurance?!

And trust me, I honestly love them. I purchased every beanie in this post from Akinz, so I obviously like the product too! Even better? She makes beanies for both men and women, so the guys can easily get in on this action.

Sigh. I think my career as a model is officially shot.
