Over the past few months, I have spent a serious amount of time trying to get more protein into my diet. I am not a vegetarian or a vegan by any means, but for some reason, I absolutely do not get enough protein into my daily diet. I think a large reason behind this is because I live alone, and when you live alone, preparing meat dishes is kind of a pain. If I forget to separate the chicken breasts immediately upon returning from the grocery store, I have to thaw the entire package…. no bueno. I eat eggs and Greek yogurt and everything but still: I know I do not get enough protein.
Having said that, I’ve been on the search for a good protein powder that satisfies this missing component in my diet.
Enter Click!
The peeps at Click were kind enough to send me a starter pack that included a canister of the Mocha flavored protein powder, 2 sample packages of the Vanilla Latte flavor powder, and one amazing shaker.
From the Click website:
The Good: This stuff is tasty! A lot of protein powders have a weird chalk taste that Click does not have. In fact, I found myself mixing the protein powder with vanilla almond milk and it seriously tasted like a latte. YUMMY!
Like, seriously. This stuff is delicious! And did I mention that shaker is sweet?! The whisk ball inside works wonders on eliminating any left over powder residue.
The Bad: The caffeine is the one part of this product that I struggled with. Although I am definitely a coffee drinker and have a cup every single morning, I try to avoid caffeine throughout the rest of the day. I don’t really drink pop at all, and I try to stick to my single cup of coffee every day. Having said that, I did not want to drink Click in the afternoon when I knew I did not need the caffeine boost.
The End: In the end, Click is a tasty way to get in some additional protein each day. If I want a breakfast shake, I will definitely turn to Click and have a nice protein shake/cup of coffee combination. However, I will also continue to look for an additional protein powder that I can incorporate into my diet, along with Click, for those times that I definitely don’t need the caffeine.
