{For the record, I didn’t forget about my Yellowstone recap; it’s coming! I just forgot how time consuming it is to pack and clean a house and entertain guests and prepare W-2 forms for employees and I ran out of time! Hopefully it will be up this week!}
Guys, the Games have finally arrived!
I fly out in a few hours for Salt Lake City where I’ll be shuttled up to the Hyatt Escala Lodge in Park City along with my 75 bags of luggage. Sure, Columbia has told us that we have a fair bit of outdoor gear waiting for us, but I really like my neon pink snowpants…and skis…and helmet….so I’m bringing all of my goods, just in case! Granted, this means I’ll be returning as a bag lady {and likely incurring some monumental luggage fees}, but it’s worth it.
After all, how do you truly prepare for the unknown?
I’ve explained to y’all how none of us know much of anything about these OmniGames, and that still stands. We did receive an email, giving us a few details, but it really contained nothing more than some light packing details and the sidenote that someone will, in fact, be there to pick us up from the airport. Other than that, we’re still fairly clueless!
I’ve heard rumors of various magazine editors arriving but those are still unfounded. I’ve also heard occasional hints of a “judging panel” but again, they aren’t confirmed. Are you sensing the pattern here? I know nothing!
Regardless, I know it will be a fantastic trip and I’m really looking forward to catching up with some friends again. Katie and I just parted ways on Monday and Jon is still staying at my house, but I haven’t seen the rest of my season in a hot minute, so it will be good to see their happy faces.
If you want to follow the action, check out the #omniten and #omnigames hashtags on Twitter and Instagram—I’m sure we’ll be blowing those up like whoa!
