Isn’t the pink even more stunning in real life? I like to think so 🙂
Anyway, while at RRSports, I made a discovery: my feet are officially larger!
Awhile back, Mizuno contacted me with their Mezamashii Project and offered to send me a pair of shoes. As I’ve previously mentioned, I chose the Ascend 7 trail shoes in a size 8 and they sent them to me. However, when the shoes arrived, I realized a size 8 was too small and had to exchange them for an 8.5. I have never worn Mizuno before, so I just wrote it off as a Mizuno thing.
Then, last week, I received a pair of the Reebok SmoothFlex Run shoes in the mail (we’ll talk about these at a later date!) As per usual, I asked for them in a size 8.
| Pretty sweet colors, no? |
Although the size 8 isn’t completely too small, it is a bit snug and I’ll be requesting an 8.5 in the future. Strike two for my previously “small” feet.
Finally, yesterday when I went to RRSports, I asked the sales lady for a size 8 in the neon pink Pure Cadence. My previous Pure Cadence were size 8, so I almost considered not trying them on because I was running so late. Good thing I did because the size 8’s were way too small! They were short and snug around my feet; not at all like my previous pair!
Luckily, they also had an 8.5 in stock and those fit great, so I purchased those. But after three pairs of shoes in a row, one of which is the exact same shoe I’ve been wearing for months, I’ve finally had to acknowledge the fact that my feet are bigger!
So here is my question to y’all: when you train for longer distance runs (for me this is 13.1 or further, but whatever works for you!), did your feet get bigger? Is that possible because of swelling or something?
If that isn’t the reason, has anyone else ever had their feet abruptly get bigger? Or is this just another one of those “Heather issues”?!
