Happy Holidays…..ps I miss the snow!

Whew! Christmas has come and gone an I gotta admit–the older you get, the more stressful the holidays are! Christmas was good this year though. Like usual, we all spent it at my parents’ house and my grandma was in town so she was there also. Bennett and Brandon came over for the day and Joy, a family friend, joined the gang. Throw in the four dogs and we had quite the chaotic group! I got my Wii, which has been lots of fun. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I had a sore back today from all the boxing and baseball that Brandon and I were playing yesterday! My dad also got my a gift certificate to Fred Astaire Dance Studio so I can take ballroom lessons. I danced for such a large portion of my life, but it has been a few years since I have been able to. Once you get to a certain age, it is pretty hard to keep up with it unless you are a teacher or coach or something. Anyway, I sat down with them a year or two ago and watched Dancing with the Stars and I was totally mesmerized by the professional ladies. They were so good! And of course, since it was the one form of dance that I had never studied, I’ve been itching to give it a try every since. I am super psyched for my lessons and we’ll see if it turns into a new hobby!

Other than that, not a lot. Been trying to get out in the mountains at least once a week which definitely hurts considering all the snow that is dumping up there! I miss mountain living! 😉 I went up Xcountry skiing last week with Brandon at Brainard Lake and snowshoeing today with Angel at Echo Lake by Mt. Evans. Man, it was cold and windy today! Pretty sure I have some pink cheeks as a result of windburn! And little Tally had quite the snowbeard from the freezing temperatures!
