And by wagon, I’m talking about the fitness wagon 🙂
Remember how on Friday I mentioned that I was rocking the HBBC points now that I’m not working? Well, it was true, but then the weekend came and I did nothing.
This past weekend was one of those weekends that often rolls around during the holidays. Too much to do, too many plans to figure out, and not enough hours in the day. Friday night was a scheduled girls night with a few lady friends that I really needed to catch up with. We got all dressed up and had a night on the town…..but of course, I can’t share pictures of that. Girl code and all. I will tell you that Heather + heels most definitely equals a workout in my eyes. How do women do that?!!!
Unfortunately, the lack of sleep leveled me and made me pretty worthless on Saturday. I rarely do the night scene so when I do, I’m like a grandma the next day. Live and learn, I suppose. I did have time to make sugar cookie dough, which I definitely made a priority. You know why?
Because Sunday was our 2nd Annual Cookie Baking Extravaganza!!! (and if that isn’t code for falling off the fitness wagon, I’m not sure what is!)
What do you get when you put 7 women and 14 different cookie recipes in the same kitchen? I’ll show you.
 Pure awesomeness, that’s what.
In the end, we estimated some 25-30 dozen cookies that we packed away into little festive tins. These are great to have around this time of year for any unexpected visitors that swing by. I always feel so much better knowing that I have something to offer them. Plus, who doesn’t like cookies?!
Anyway, after all the fat-filled fun and shenanigans, I came home and crashed hard. I briefly debated a tm run for a hot minute, but then I chose sleep instead. Sooooooo…..we’re starting over today. Fresh slate!! That’s the beauty of having choices: although this past weekend wasn’t my peak performance, I have the choice to start over today. Swimming tonight should be something special with a stomach full of sugar and chocolate 🙂
Congrats to Suzanne! Shoot me an email and I’ll send your further instructions on how to claim your gift card.
