I’m As Famous As I’ll Ever Be!

Since I’m sure all of you read SR’s blog (since I have yet to meet a blogger who doesn’t!) you probably saw that I was featured yesterday. Pretty sure I’m as least as famous now as Mariah Carey. Or at least New Kids on the Block now that they are called NKOTB. In fact, I’m thinking I might be able to take them on in the polls. Not sure I have enough star power to topple the Backstreet Boys though!

Waaiiiiiiit, is this a trick? What happened to BSB #5?! Seriously, weren’t there five members? I’m thinking my odds look good. Anyway, SR made me so famous that I seriously had the largest spike in readers that I’ve ever had in my whole entire blogger life. Like by the thousands! SR has some serious famous genes! So hi to all my new readers–hopefully you stick around so we can be friends ๐Ÿ™‚

So guess what else? I got the absolute best news yesterday that seriously made my day!! This March, I am officially turning 30 (as opposed to unofficially turning 30). I know, it’s terrifying yet true. Just use me as an example to your children re: what NOT to do in regards to the sun and premature wrinkling. It’s a bitch, I tell ya. Anyway, my little sister’s birthday is only a few days before mine, and since she just recently moved to Hawaii, my parents and I had already made plans to go spend a week or two there and kinda cover both of our bdays in one celebratory week. I mean, it’s Hawaii….that place just screams celebrations and sparkles, doesn’t it?

Anyway, long story (not so) short, my parents told me yesterday that they are going to take me on a trip before we hit up Hawaii! I’m pretty sure they’re congratulating me for surviving 3 decades of all the crazy s**t I do. The best part? We’re talking international!! Apparently, they can swing certain circumstances with their plane tickets because of all of their frequent flyer miles. One such circumstance happens to include a stop in any Asian country before we hit up Hawaii. I’m psyched. As of now, the three of us are debating between Vietnam, China, and Nepal. My dad is leaning towards Vietnam, and although that would be awesome, I have alreadyย  been to both Thailand and Cambodia. Yes, I realize they are different countries, but I’d like to try something totally different and unique. Honestly? I’m pushing for China. I’d love to see the Great Wall, and there has always been something intriguing to me about rural China. I’d also really enjoy checking out the Silk Road. But in reality, I’m psyched about wherever they choose to take me….and I’ll love it!!

And yes, if you clicked on the link and are wondering, I did bribe my way into Cambodia. I’m stealth like a ninja. Or an idiot. Not sure just yet!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go??

Where is the coolest place you’ve ever been?

In your opinion, what country should we pick? It can be anywhere in Asia/South Pacific.

New followers: please say hi so I can meet you! ๐Ÿ™‚

So jealous about Hawaii! Your going to have so much fun. I would go to China too. My friend’s husband studied abroad there and loved it! He had such cool pictures from the great wall.

    Yay for exotic travel!
The only Asian country I’ve been to is the Asian side of Turkey so I’m not much help.
I’d go back to Italy in a heartbeat.

Lucky you and what a great surprise. I would say I enjoyed my trip more to San Fran then I did to Costa Rica this summer. I have a thing with leaving the country and not getting my Starbucks lol.

My brother lived in China for two years and I wanted to go visit him so bad but couldn’t come up the money. He actually hopped over a fence into North Korea for like 30 seconds.

Just found you through SR too! I don’t normally click on the blogs she says to check out, but something said, check her out. So thanks for the entertainment!

That trip is going to be awesome! Neither of our parents are ever interested and doing anything like that….such a shame. Actually….no one in our family is except us. They call us the black sheep. Weird.

Hawaii for your 30th birthday sounds amazing! Plus a trip to an Asian country, double the fun! I’ve been to Hawaii about 8 years ago, and that the coolest place I’ve ever been. I’m your newest follower : )
