For example….
#1: String Cheese.
I have a pattern with how I eat string cheese and without fail, it is the same every time. After I unwrap the cheese, I take full-on bite off the top. Then– and only then! — can I proceed to eat the cheese like normal, by stringing pieces off. It just feels wrong if I don’t take that first bite!
#2: My Running Shoe Lineup.
As y’all have read before, I have quite the lineup of shoes. In particular, I have four or five pair of running shoes. However, for some reason I don’t put them in the closet or on the shoe rack with all of my other shoes. Instead, I like to keep my running shoes lined up in a little row, right next to my sliding glass door.
Why? I have no idea. Maybe I think I’m going to need to flee out my back door and want to make sure I have running shoes to grab on the go?!
#3: Tortilla Chip Problem.
I always buy this particular brand of blue corn tortilla chips (Don’t ask me what brand; I think it’s Kroger or something.) Anyway, I much on the chips until I get down to the bottom quarter of the bag when the little bitty broken pieces are all that is left. I don’t like eating those little pieces (because really, what good are they?) but I never seem to throw the bag away because my internal monologue tells me that it is wasteful to chuck the shards.
So, instead, I end up with about a million different bags of tortilla chips that only have a few handfuls of broken chips left in the bottom. Ridiculous.
