…but of something very different now. Today, I had to go where no woman should have to go: the emission testing place.
Seriously, how dirty are those places? I swear, I walked out with 10 lbs more dirt on my face than I typically already have (and this is AFTER I stuck my arm in a container garden up to my shoulder, so you understand how filthy I am!)
Look at that line….now wait for it, wait for it…..
This was my line. Figures. It actually wasn’t terrible, but I’m still confused on why I had to go anyway. Don’t they have those Clear Air vans parked all over the place so you can avoid this exact scenario? I would figure as often as I drive, I’m bound to pass that van a few times a week, right? Apparently not. Oh well…it was my first emissions in 4.5 years, so I guess I’ll just suck it up 🙂
Or eat this to make the world right again:
Oh wait, that was Saturday….maybe I’ll have to eat some more. Gummy bears truly make the world go ’round 🙂
So guess what I’m doing later this week? You’ll never guess, like seriously. My friend Whitney is getting married on Saturday, and of course because I am a truly awesome friend, I am doing the flowers for her wedding. (All you need is one friend that works in the horticulture industry to make you realize how much that stuff really DOESN’T actually cost!) Granted, I’m doing all the labor hours of her bouquets, aisle decorations, and center pieces for free, but that’s what friends are for! I’m actually excited because floral design is my fave part of my job….I just hope she likes them too! She is going to have some beautiful colors:
Green Spider Mums
Purple Standard Mums
Moonvista Carnations
Yes, I know how people feel about carnations but the fact is that they are great flowers when watching a budget AND the deep purple is going to be a great accent color that will match her theme. I’ll take a bunch of pics later this week so y’all can see what I come up with 🙂
What are your favorite flowers? I need to know this info in case I ever expand our landscaping business into floral design! 🙂
