I’m a Whole New Person!

Some of you should be very, very proud of yourself for your observational skills. Those of you that have eagle eyes have already noticed that I changed my blog around over the weekend– new name, new design, a whole new me! I know; I continue to astound myself too!

Anyway, yes, I did change it up! I’ve mentioned multiple times that I wanted to rename my blog but couldn’t quite think of anything that would work for me, for who I am. I run, but I’m not necessarily a runner. I compete in triathlons, but I am very amateur and would never go so far as to use that description to explain who I am. (Believe me: if you have ever seen me struggle across the finish line at a tri, you wouldn’t use that description either!) I was still stuck in this rut when Kayla suggested the names “Rugged Colorado” or something to that effect. That’s when it hit me: plain and simple, like it or not, I am a Colorado girl. I love the outdoors, I live for mountain air, and I truly enjoy every moment of my hiking/biking/camping/skiing/backpacking/microbrew lifestyle. It’s who I am.

 Don’t worry; that is actually me and not Kenny from South Park. Sometimes I like to channel bizarre TV cartoon characters from the top of 14ers. What, is that weird?!

And as far as the title goes, I just threw in the whole “gal” instead of “girl” thing cause I was feeling creative. Pretty snazzy, huh?! (And yes, I just used the word snazzy. Please do not call your grandmothers and notify them that their favorite word is making a comeback. I assure you, it was a one-time thing.)
