I’m sitting here on my couch at 7:30pm on a Friday night, watching the snow fall, and just thinking, “Yowza!! So glad this week is over!” That’s seriously how I feel after this week because my days have been filled with extreme highs followed by plummeting lows. Do you ever have weeks like that?
On the good side, I got a couple of different emails that are going to lead to some insanely fun news for me! Naturally, I have to be all vague and annoying for the time being, but I’m pretty psyched for both, and I can’t wait to share the details with y’all.
But, since we’re focusing on the roller coaster theme this week, my dramatically exciting news had to be followed up with some pretty frustrating and upsetting news. Again, I’m going to be wicked vague here, but honestly, I’m not sure if I’m ready to talk about this one. I had to go in for some tests yesterday, and depending on how the lab results come back, I’ll decide how much I want to share. Regardless, I’ve been pretty exhausted and worn out the past few days as a result of all of it. In fact, I crawled into bed last night at 7pm with my laptop and Trueblood—that’s how exhausted I was! I knew the day had taken its toll on me after my mom told me I was as white as a sheet this morning at work. Ultra flattering.
Today dawned bright and early for work, and I climbed back up to the top of the roller coaster after reading our first group email regarding our insane backpacking trip in Alaska this summer! Y’all, I am beyond excited for this trip and cannot wait to share the details with you! However, I feel that Alaska deserves its own post, so I’ll wait till next week to fill you in. But seriously, here are a couple of hints:
Packrafting.
Bush Plane
Utter Wilderness and Solitude
Bam!
Have a great weekend y’all, and if you haven’t already—don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a box of goodies from Sweet Relish!

your other little nurse friend is concerned also, especially if you are white as a sheet!
Alaska sounds like a crazy fun amazing adventure!
Oh no! I hope everything is all right! I’ll be thinking of you! But you are focusing on the positive, so that’s the way to go!
Every week is like that for teachers! I love my kids but it is nonstop demanding attention and by Friday night I can barely string a sentence together.
You are in my prayers Heather! I know how it goes in terms of waiting for tests and keeping everything to yourself until the timing is right. Vague is okay, but prayer is prayer regardless if it’s specific. He knows what’s up and that’s all that matters! 🙂 xoox’s
hope everything’s okay! and can’t wait to hear your exciting news 🙂
Oh, I hope everything is okay & I can’t wait to read what your good news is. Alaska sounds super exciting!
I hope everything is okay…..You know, it’s kinda lame to be so vague about something that sounds so worrisome. Let me know if there’s anything I can say or do to help you feel better!
