Unfortunately for my future children, I think what they’ll hate even MORE is living with the fact that their mother once dressed up like an elf for a Christmas play. And not just a regular elf, but actually a “good” elf who was out to help Santa and Al Gore save the world from global warming. Santa and Gore were like a tag team duo, trying to outsmart good ol’ G.W. (Get it?! Get it?!) And no, I’m not going all political and you may think I’m making this up, but I assure you, it’s the truth. I’ve hidden the evidence though, so good luck trying to find that VHS! (And we’ll save the story about how I almost fell into the Christmas tree onstage for a later date!)
Talk about a random tangent!
Anyway, I’m in a slump, my friends. You may have noticed on my Races tab that the Rock ‘n Roll Half marathon has been crossed out. Struck through. Eliminated from the schedule. I made the decision a few weeks back because, quite honestly, I am just done focusing on a particular race and training specifically for it. If I want to take a Zumba class, by golly I’m gonna take it without worrying about how my training schedule will be all jacked. Plus, I haven’t been putting in enough miles and I’m pretty sure running 13.1 miles would break my kneecaps into 17 pieces. It wouldn’t be pretty, and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t even need a tire iron to do it.

Hmmm, sound familiar? Anyone? Anyone?
So I’m not training for anything. Unfortunately for me, that means my motivation plummets and I spend more time thinking about working out rather than actually doing it. Don’t get me wrong–I’ll still get my 4-5 workouts in each week….but they’re not very good. Plus, I’m having a hard time adjusting to the diminishing daylight now that fall is finally here. No more sunlight at 6am or 8pm. Weird. Probably gonna turn into a vampire now, which is not okay with me. Especially if I have be all sparkly.

I’ll take the 18-year-old any day. Sorry Edward.
Have you ever completely humiliated yourself onstage (a la the elf costume?!) If you have, please share….I’ll feel eternally grateful!

#1 I think I’d take Bella’s route and have both boys…. 🙂
#2 That’s a terrible picture of Taylor
#3 In reference to your last post, I have no idea how you title your post first and then write….I always title last becuase I never know what kind of rabbits I will be chasing
#4 When I was a cheerleader I used to run to the middle of the court and do a toe touch while everyone around me did cart wheels….once I ran to the middle and tripped when I jumped, falling on my ass, and the whole school laughed at me. End of story.
