I think I have mentioned this on here before, but my old roommate from up in Steamboat, Ryan Cox, is in a bluegrass band called Missed the Boat. Their music is great and they have become quite the local talent up in Steamboat and surrounding areas. They are even beginning to play in quite a few venues down on the Front Range, including this year’s Bolder Boulder. At any rate, it looks like their talent has been recognized by fans in a far greater circle than Steamboat–the 2010 Grammy Awards!
Apparently, Missed the Boat was nominated for the 2010 Grammy Awards in 4 different categories. How cool is that? Check out the story! Now they can say they are the Grammy-nominated Missed the Boat. I’m telling you…big things are coming for these guys, and I can say that I knew them back when! 🙂 Congrats!
