If you’re new to my blog, please visit my initial post regarding my Haiti trip. In short, I am going to be doing lots o’ running and working with some adorable kiddos!
I mailed my last payment to Mission 29.2 so my trip is officially paid for and on like Donkey Kong! Even better? I totally convinced my BFF Angel to come along, too! She is an RN (soon to be an NP once she graduates!) and this type of trip is totally up her alley. I knew she would be intrigued when I told her about it, and I was right. Of course, we both had some final questions, so she and I met up in the parking lot of a McDonalds to do a group chat with one of the peeps at Mission 29.2 (No, we aren’t cool enough to handle conference calls or anything.) I’m pretty sure Shannon at M29.2 thinks we are criminals though– a car alarm was going off during our entire conversation and he kept asking if we were breaking into the vehicle!
Is this the face of a criminal y’all?
Anyway, now that my portion of the trip is covered, I am turning my attention to donations. Yup, you knew I was going to mention it again, right? RIGHT?! I don’t have an easy task ahead of me as each of the volunteers are asked to raise $1000, but I think I can do it!
So, do you want to donate to my trip? If you do, pop over here and feel free to donate whatever you possibly can! Just be sure to include my name (Heather Balogh) somewhere so that it is credited towards my donations!
But guess what else? I HAVE THE BEST NEWS EVER! My dear friend Will Rochfort from WMR Jr Photography made the most generous offer! If you take a look at his website, you will see that he is a brilliant photographer. He has some amazing landscape photos that I am dying to frame for my own walls.

| I don’t think he used his point and shoot camera for this one 🙂 |
You also may remember his name from previous blog posts– he is the photographer that captured the spectacular OmniTen photo that amazed us all.
Will also happens to have the best heart in the entire world. When I told him about this Haiti trip, he offered to donate 100% of his photography proceeds to my cause!
Yup, you read that correctly! If any of y’all hop over to his website and purchase any of his photos between now and December 1, he is going to donate the money to my Haiti fund. Seriously. And I didn’t even ask him to do this….he offered it all on his own. How could you not want to own a print of a photo captured by the nicest man in the world?!
I knew I could convince you!

This is excellent in so many ways. Bravo to Will for being so awesome.
This is so exciting Heather!!!!! I can’t wait to read about it 🙂 Glad you got your girl friend to come with you. I always prefer having a friend join me if I can 🙂
I’ve been meaning to buy one of Will’s photos since we got back from Arizona. This will definitely push me over the edge! Will and Heather, you both rock 🙂
So awesome! I think if everyone would just give it a little, it would help so much. Just made a donation — it’s not a whole lot but it will help get you there!
Wow, I swear that man has to have one of the biggest hearts on the planet. Will, you are amazing – and yet, I’d expect nothing less from a gentleman like you.
awesome photos and awesome idea!! SPA Love
So exciting! I love when vacation details start getting nailed down and everything feels real.
omigosh – his photography is amazing. I’ll have to convince my hubby we need some new art. 😉
I love the Feeding Before the Storm picture but that’s probably no big surprise since it does have a cow in it. Needless to say I had to have it!
Sounds amazing! I may need to check out his website for a birthday present for my mom.
I have a friend that I ran the Athens marathon with that is also going to be running (Not sure about volunteering). I should not have gone to the website, I want to go so bad now.
Sounds awesome.
