Mountain Biking in Sedona

Happy Friday!

Y’all, I am so glad it’s the weekend. The next couple of days are jam packed for me, but I am still so exhausted that I am seriously looking forward to catching a few hours of extra sleep somewhere!

Anyway, as promised, I decided today was the day for my Sedona mountain biking video! As I was going through the footage, I realized that it truly didn’t do the ride a lot of justice. It shows you a little bit of the scenery from the area and hopefully, makes you want to get out and ride with me!

Now that I have this fun lil’ GoPro–and know how to somewhat edit footage!–I promise I’ll make some videos of some rides here in the CO. There are so many places that I’d love to show you!

Have a great weekend everyone!

EDITED TO ADD: I wrote this post last night, on Thursday, and woke up this morning to hear about the awful news about the movie theater shooting in Aurora. I was in Stapleton last night, but obviously not in the theater and I am fine. However, hearing about this mass shooting breaks my heart. There have been far too many of these in my beloved state (Columbine rings a bell) and I can’t stand that they keep happening.
My thoughts go out to all of the families of the 12 victims, as well as the dozens of others injured. I would also like to extend a huge thanks to all of the medical and emergency personnel who responded to the scene. I have mentioned this before, but I have a lot of friends who are police officers, and apparently a few of them responded to the shooting. I can’t even imagine the things they have seen. Thank you again.

That’s some sweet desert mountain biking. Looks like fun! Have you been riding much in Colorado this summer? I too am sad to hear about what took place. Such a horrible atrocity.

I’ve been riding a couple of times this season, but unfortunately, I feel like marathon training is taking over my weekends 🙁 I’m hoping to get up in the next week or two.

That’s pretty awesome. I wan’t to get a GoPro! Also, I will be in Crested Butte at the end of August doing some mountain biking and trail running. It would be fun to meet up if your close to the area!

Unfortunately CB is a good 6 hour drive from me 🙁 But, I went there for an MTB trip last summer and it was AWESOME. You will love it!

That’s awesome but sucks about the mass shooting 🙁 things like that always get to me and make me so sad for those families involved. I am glad to hear you’re ok

The older I get, the harder they are for me to take– too many hit close to home. I still remember Columbine like it was yesterday, and that was 13 years ago I think….never gets easier.

I’ve always wanted to ride in Sedona. I know some awesome 25 – 45 mile routes in Breckenridge if you are interested. Lots of beautiful scenery, climbing and descending. 🙂

I can’t stand that terrible things like that happen in our world. It breaks my heart. Glad no one you knew was hurt.

Yikes! I am not a biker…I hardly ride on flat ground, that looks intense.

By the way, I nominated you for the Very Inspirational Blogger award. All the details are on my blog http://reneerunsmiles.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-very-inspiring-blogger-award.html. I admire your marathon training and your adventurous spirit 🙂
