Is this thing on?
I knew it was going to take a hot minute to adjust to our new normal, but truthfully, I never guessed it would take almost two months for me to write a post!
But alas, that is the way life is with a newborn. Here I am, early December, preparing for the holidays with an almost-two-month-old baby girl. Ain’t life grand?
In a way, I feel like I’m living in an entirely new world compared to what I was experiencing before Liliana’s birth.
And oh, what a world it is!
My days are chock full of squeezing in work around nap times and diaper changes.
I haven’t been on an outdoor adventure in months.
The #MeToo movement took social media by storm, proving the majority of women everywhere have been assaulted or harassed at some point in their lives.
And more recently, President Trump assaulted our public lands by drastically reducing the size of both Bears Ears and Grand Staircase.
If you had presented me with those four points one year ago, I’m not sure which would’ve been the most unbelievable. And yet here we are. Each point is an undeniable fact.
It’s time for me to move forward. I’ve been brainstorming where I’d like to take my site in 2018, and I have quite a few ideas. The blog will still be here, but you’ll notice a different look and purpose to the entire website. Of course, that is going to take some time, but I’m open to suggestions! This is partially because I haven’t switched things up in awhile, and it’s certainly due. But largely, I’d like this small space on the internet to represent my future plans, and trust me: there are many changes coming down the pike. {We can chat about those later.} But, suffice to say, life is going to look mighty different for me in 2018, so stay tuned.

And how about you guys? What’s new for you in the past two months? What would you like to see from my site in the future? I’m talking anything; I’m open to any and all ideas regarding content, programs, site design, etc!

Ooooh excited to see what’s coming up! Xoxo
Changing up a blog is awesome and frightening. I’m working on being more focused and not just posting about random things. Can’t wait to see what changes you make.
How about adventuring with a baby!!! I’ve been trying to get the courage to take my (currently 15 month old) kid camping, and I think next year will be the beginning. But, family adventure time is something I’d like to get to know a bit more about. Also, welcome back! And congrats on the healthy a vigorous baby girl.
Would love to see more of your favorite backcountry ski locations and dispersed camping. Everywhere I’ve been so far that you’ve recommended has been amazing! Also, would love to meet up one day.
I’d love a meet up opportunity with you. I’m also still plugging along trying to figure out my place in the outdoors being a middle aged woman living with cancer, attempting to encourage thriving instead of giving in to the narrative that those of us with stage IV cancer are dying not living. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’ll always be a fan.
I like baby stuff. But I’m biased :).
Always excited to follow along on your adventures!!! So whatever direction you go, I’ll be following!!!
I really like reading about your adventures and have enjoyed your instagram stories about life with Liliana!
