Just a Colorado Gal

My Life in a Nutshell

It’s annual season. For most of you that don’t work in the landscaping industry, this mean little if anything. It may mean that you plant a few flowers — after Mother’s Day, of course! — or turn on your irrigation system. However, for me, it means that I no longer have a life!

In Colorado, we have to schedule our installations around the weather…which is easier said than done. We often get snowstorms in May, and June blizzards have been known to happen. However, with the sun peeking out in early March, our season came early and fast, and it came with a vengeance!

So, these days, I’m at work. A lot. Practically a million hours per week! And when I’m not working, I’m on the phone, talking to employees or clients. But you know what? It’s okay because although it’s crazy…and frustrating…and stressful…and chaotic…I actually like it! It’s my favorite time of the year because I enjoy designing the installs, I enjoy seeing them planted in the earth, and love watching them grow and flourish throughout the summer.

Even if it does mean that I have no life for 4-6 weeks 🙂
