Neocell Collagen Sport Protein Powder Review

Happy weekend, everyone!

I have some crazy exciting news to share with y’all, but that is going to wait until Monday. In the meantime, let’s talk protein.

If you remember from this post, I have spent a serious amount of time trying to get more protein into my diet. In fact, I have even started randomly tracking my food in order to see if I am getting enough. But, I am happy to say that I finally found a go-to protein powder that works for me: Neocell Collagen Sport.

What’s in collagen sport?

  • 15 grams of Whey Protein Isolate
  • 15 grams of Super Collagen Boavailable Peptides
  • Amino Acids
  • L-Glutamine
  • Multivitamins
What’s not in collagen sport?
  • No gluten
  • No sugar
  • No lactose
  • No artificial sweeteners
  • Nothing synthetic
Not too shabby, huh? I think my fav part of this protein is the fact that it doesn’t have any gluten, sugar, or lactose. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t have any problems with gluten or lactose, but I do like to eliminate  either or both when possible. Additionally, the elimination of all these ingredients means that Neocell is very easy on the stomach. It digests well and doesn’t cause any stomach problems. Plus, I can drink it whenever I want, day or night, because there is no caffeine.
The one negative I found to this protein powder is that I don’t love the way it tastes with plain water. It’s not awful, but it doesn’t taste like a vanilla shake or anything! However, I’ve been mixing it with plain almond milk lately, and that is one tasty snack 🙂 I have also enjoyed putting Neocell in my green smoothies and it tastes great in addition to making me healthier and stronger!

What type of protein do you use?

I should really consider trying this stuff! Since I don’t eat a lot of meat, just chicken and turkey, I am probably lacking protein in my diet.

It sounds like a great option for a protein powder!

Like I said, I’ve been tracking my diet via My Fitness Pal just to look at what nutrients I am/am not getting…and my protein is crazy low on most days (not all, but definitely at least 50% of the time.) This protein has really helped me get more in there!

I did win some of this NeoCell from Blonde Ponytail the other day and I’ve been taking it after some runs…I agree, the taste in water is not amazing, but I just drink it down quickly, hahahaha. Can’t argue with the HIGH as heck protein content!!

This sounds interesting, I will have to pick some up sometime to compare. I’ve been a habitual Isopure user but lately have been using Vi-shape.

I’m actually in the market for a new protein powder and have been too lazy to go out and buy one. Have you tried yours in a smoothie yet?

Yes ma’am! I’ve actually had it in a bunch of green smoothies and it blends well and tastes great. I would definitely give it a shot if I were you!!! 🙂

I use Aria Women’s vanilla protein powder and I LOVE it. It has:
    14 grams of protein
    80 calories per serving
    1 gram of fat
    3 grams carbs
50:50 whey and soy combination protein.
I use it in smoothies with a banana, almond milk, ice and spinach and they honestly taste like banana vanilla milkshakes. I haven’t used it in just plain water, but I did mix it with my oatmeal once and it was so-so. The smoothie is what has me hooked!
