So, the weekend in Moab was fun! We woke up super early on Saturday to get to the bike race in Palisade, and even though the weather kinda sucked on the way there and rained and was cold, the day turned out okay. The tour was pretty cool too, although, as Angel said, “it could’ve been more scenic.” There were a few big hills to chug up, and poor Frannie’s derailer broke and she had to catch the SAG wagon back, so she couldn’t finish the race. Still had fun though!
After the race, we went to the wine festival, and although it was cool to walk around and taste all the wines, I was a little disappointed. I never found a single wine that I truly liked, and that was kinda weird, cause I love wine! I even asked on woman to let me try her favorite kind, and she gave me this god-awful, wicked dry red that was absolutely disgusting. Some people have bad tastes!
After Palisade, we piled in Charlotte’s truck and headed to Moab where we did some mountain biking and celebrated Frannie’s birthday. The men at the Mexican restaurant sufficiently embarrassed her, so it was a good bday. We found a pretty fun trail out in the middle of nowhere, so once we actually got to the right part of it, we had a blast!
