By golly, it’s only taken like 4.5 years, but I never said I was great with decisions! Remember about 100 years ago when I was debating whether I should run a full or half marathon? I originally decided not to run anything; I’ve done a lot of different races between March and now, and I was thinking that maybe it would be nice to NOT have to train for something. But then, about 2 weeks after my last event, I realized that I liked the pressure of HAVING to train for something. It helps motivate me and makes me commit to my workouts more than I would otherwise. What that means in code: I turn into a lazy POS when I’m not in training!

If only I looked–and ran–just like these guys!
In short, I’ve decided to give the Denver Rock ‘n Roll half marathon a try. I’m just not ready to commit to the training that a full would take. And even more, running is hard for me, and I don’t think I would be able to safely train up to 26 miles over the next 10 weeks. I don’t need to hurt myself, right?!
Anyone have any great training plans for me? If not, I’m following Hal Higdon again!
