The Organ Trail

Awwwwwwwww man!

So guess what I just got rigged into participating in this Saturday? If, by some chance, you guessed the Organ Trail: A Haunted Urban Adventure, you’d be incredibly lucky. Or a very good reader. Either way, you’d be right!

Turns out, there is this urban adventure race taking place this Saturday, and a friend of a friend knows the race founders. In its inauagural year, the Organ Trail race describes itself as:

The ORGAN TRAIL is a unique urban adventure.  While some teams will choose to run, teams may walk or use acceptable public transportation as described in the RULES.  Once given a clue sheet, teams will solve a number of clues in order to determine the location of checkpoints.  Teams must go to these checkpoints and complete the challenge.  Challenges may be explained on the clue sheet or in person once a team arrives at the checkpoint.  The first team to complete the necessary challenges and return to the FINISH line will win.  In order to complete the race, a team must do so within three (3) hours.

Like how I did that in red? In honor of blood and zombies?

Think Amazing Race meets Denver meets zombies. Or something. Anyway, it looks like a group of us ladies are going to create a team and give it a try. Of course, every team is encouraged to dress up as some type of zombie, so we’re going to have to get creative this week and figure out some type of zombie costume that allows for 4+ miles of running, as well as clue solving and obstacle course crushing.

If I can look half as cool as this man, I’m going to be pretty stoked. How often do you get to run around Denver, looking like you just shoved your face in a garbage disposal?!!!

Hook a sister up! Do you have any great suggestions for zombie costumes?
I have an old cheerleader uniform from high school that could make a great zombie cheerleader. Any other suggestions??

The more important stuff–how the hell do you do zombie makeup???????
