Premier Protein Snacks for You!

Remember how yesterday I rambled on and on about my messed up stomach and foods that are sending me into Stage 5 freak out mode? Luckily, Premier Protein bars and shakes aren’t one of those foods, because otherwise, this giveaway would be a wicked fail!

Having said that, let’s talk about the snacks. I’ve been an occasional Premier Protein consumer for about a year, but I particularly like the shakes. They come in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, but unfortunately, I didn’t get to taste the chocolate because my dad and Will drank them all! Luckily, I’m a vanilla fan and can attest to the flavor, but you’ll just have to take the advice of Will and Dad on the chocolate. Boys! Anyway, the shakes taste great chilled and I really liked them after an intense CrossFit workout. Will and I each took a shake to the Big Horn Bring-a-Friend comp and we drank them in between the first and second WOD. They were perfect for providing carbs and proteins to keep us both going during WOD #2 and WOD #3.

Additionally, Premier Protein sent me a whole slew of bars to munch on: three of the meal replacement bars (Chocolate Peanut Butter, Double Chocolate Crunch, and Yogurt Peanut Butter Crunch) and three Crisp bars (Chocolate Mint, Honey Caramel, and Peanut Butter Caramel). Of the two kinds, I liked the Crunch bars a lot more. They have less calories and less protein, but they are also less dense of a snack. The replacement bars are exactly that: a meal replacement. With 30 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, and almost 300 calories, those suckers definitely pack a punch! I don’t typically swap out meals for bars, so I will likely be sticking to the Crisp bars for my future protein snacks, but if you’re searching for something heavier and more protein-drenched, the meal replacement bars are definitely tasty!

So, the good stuff: how YOU can win some snacks for yourself! Fortunately, Premier Protein has agreed to give five winners the following:

  • Four Shakes (two chocolate, two vanilla)

Would love to try their shakes. Since I practice bikram first thing in the morning on the weekends, I would really like to have a protein shake to hold me over after class until I got home.

I’d say shakes, I’d be able to drink them after going to the gym, while driving to work, without getting crumbs on me. As long as I don’t spill I’d still look good. Who am I kidding? I’d look good even with a shake spilled on me.
