So much time, so little to do–wait, scratch that!

Is it wrong that I seem to be avoiding running until these babies arrive in the mail?

I’m not doing it on purpose, but I keep thinking about going for a run….and then not. I’ll do something else instead. I think I’m unconsciously waiting for my purple aqua gloriousness to arrive. Whatever. If that’s wrong, then I don’t want to be right!

In other news, I have friends coming to visit me this week!!!! Kat and Kayla are coming into town from Texas to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. I met them last year at a mutual friend’s wedding in Vermont, and that initial meeting was actually the first-and only!–time we’ve ever met! We all had such a great time though, so I’m positive that this weekend will be a blast. I’m thinking of maybe a little hiking at Chautauqua since it is so close and easy:

A little mountain biking at Three Sisters:

A little sushi (or something equally delicious like Rio margs!) on Pearl Street:

And hopefully a little celebrating when CU trounces CSU this weekend:

A girl can dream, can’t she? Besides, I’ll take a Ralphie buffalo any day over a  silly old goat!!

Oh yeah, we might go sledding down some stairs, but I’ll save that little surprise for later 🙂

Colorado natives– Any suggestions for what else I should take my Texas friends to do on their visit? Or, if you’re from elsewhere, what would you want to visit?

Hi Heather! Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll check out your recap of Iron Girl Boulder for sure. I’ve done a mini-sprint triathlon before, but this is my first Iron Girl. I’m so excited!
