Splashing Around in Havasu Falls with the #OmniTen

Alright y’all, if you remember awhile back, I shared a whole lot of details about my Columbia #OmniTen trip to Sedona and Havasu Falls (if you missed them, you can check the recaps out here, here, or here.)

However, I also mentioned that Columbia and GoPro had teamed up and sent each of the #OmniTenย a GoPro camera to take along on our adventure. Naturally, because I am technologically impaired, it has taken me all the way until NOW to figure out to edit a video. And yes, I’ve only done one video and still have more to deal with…. baby steps, people. Baby steps!

ANYWAY. I showed you lots of pics in my recaps about the millions of waterfalls that we got to play on, jump off, and splash around in…now you get to see the video footage ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you like it!

And please…go easy on my mad editing skills. This took me waaaaaaaay longer than it should have!

What did you do this weekend? What do you think about the video?

Does all of the trekking and climbing look like something you’d be interested in?

THIS IS SO AWESOME. Also, I love how the footage made me both look super cool, and super geeky/a hot mess. I loved it, I feel like a superstar for conveniently being in front of you for most of the footage. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for letting me relive the best adventure of my life, and inspiring me to finally start editing my own footage.

I figured it was about time to get some of it done ๐Ÿ™‚ Just have the MTB left now!

And yeah, you were totally in ALL of my footage– you and Jon both!

Nice vid Heather! And don’t worry even though this one took a little longer, the next few won’t. It gets easier.

*sigh* I can’t believe how long it’s already been since we were there.

Such a great video– makes me want to bust out of my office and head for the nearest waterfall. Looks like you all enjoyed an incredible experience.

  • Reply AmyC @ running escapades at

That looks so exciting and beautiful, but a little scary at the same time! I would love to do something like that at least once!!

I couldn’t tell if the water was cold or not ๐Ÿ˜‰

It looks like you had a great time!! I miss being able to hike in the AZ mountains!!

My favorite part is when you ask someone if you’re going to die…and then the camera just submerges into the water! haha.

  • Reply Melissa at

Looks amazing! That reminds me. When I get back from this race in Chicago, I’m getting my butt up the mountains again. There’s a place called McAfee’s Knob here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it’s an AMAZING view. (You should look it up. You’d love it.)

SO beautiful! Makes me want to do a trip like this – I LOVE waterfalls & the outdoors!!!

  • Reply Mindy Bobe at

WOW!!! That looks like soooo much fun!!! Great job on the video!!!

  • Reply Heidi Nicole at

That is awesome. And you did way better than I do on movie making…you added music! I’m usually too lazy! It looks so amazing! Best part: “am I going to die?!” You are too funny!

Now I’m just anxiously awaiting the mtb footage, I want to see what you guys got to do! And maybe a little bit to see juts how good you are on a bike so I know how much practice I have to do before I can hang! ๐Ÿ™‚

Honestly, the mtb in Sedona was fairly easy. If I had gone with the advanced group, it would have been death defying but I didn’t…so that’s good ๐Ÿ™‚ And I promise, I am not any good! I just like to get out and ride, so you should join!

  • Reply Alyssa at

Man I’m jealous! I’d love to do that kind of stuff! Great job on the video!

  • Reply Jill at

Wow, how gorgeous!! I think you did a great job with the video…I’d have no idea how to do one. ๐Ÿ™‚
