Three Things Thursday

How unoriginal.

I usually avoid the cliche topics that go around in the blogger world, but quite honestly, I am getting my ass handed to me (again) by one of the asthma meds they put me on the other day. Prednisone = devil. Headaches, nausea, the works. Luckily, today is my last day of the evil steroid, so I should be back in business by tomorrow!!

So, in light of my little whining session, I offer up three things for your reading pleasure today!!

1. Man, I am so excited to have so many new readers! I guess when you’re giving away something free, that will tend to happen, huh? (That’s ok–you’re my kind of people! Free stuff is ALWAYS good in my book, so I don’t blame you one bit!) Hopefully, you’ll stick around to be my BFF. And just so you know…there is another giveaway in the works! Muah haha ha!

2. I have picked my half ironman for next year! I thought about everyone’s opinions and really took a look at the courses. In the end, I decided on the Boulder 70.3. Oddly enough, I don’t think I am going to sign up for the whole series, though. I don’t really want to bother with the sprint tri, and I’d rather do the Loveland Lake to Lake as my Oly tri instead of the Boulder Peak. Sooooo that’s my decision and I’m sticking with it! (Now I just have to force myself to register….)

Yes, I know Ralphie doesn’t really fit….but he is from Boulder. And I think I deserve a little shout out to my undergrad alma mater from time to time! (Please, no awesome comments about how amazing their football team is. I’m struggling with this on a daily basis. But on the bright side, at least they aren’t Penn State!)

3. MSP is in the house! That’s right, y’all. Tomorrow night I am heading into Golden to see Matchstick Production’s 2011 ski film, Attack of La Nina. I usually see the kick-off showing in Boulder every September, but apparently I got amnesia this year and forgot to go. That’s okay–I’m down with showing Golden a little love. These films get me so psyched for ski season and here’s to hoping this year’s has an awesome crash reel. Best. Part. Ever!!!

“Attack of La Niña” now shipping AND available on iTunes! from MSP Films on Vimeo.

Did you enter my giveaway yet?? If not, go do it!!

I’m a little nervous about this half ironman, even though it’s months and months away and I haven’t even registered. You guys are gonna hear about it a lot! Any great tips from you triathletes out there?! Or anyone, for that matter??

Happy to have found your blog…and to think, it wasn’t even the giveaway that drew me in 😉 I love that you do 1/2 ironmans, so much respect for that. I’m just barely getting this running thing down!

Oh I can’t wait! I am not yet a triathlete, just a triathlete gawker.

Oh no undergrad at CU. I don’t think I can follow you anymore since I went to CSU. J/K Congrats on picking a 1/2 ironman. I think that is so cool! You are going to rock it!

Congrats for committing to the half ironman…that is one of my goals one day, perhaps even next year!

We’ll see how I feel about stuff after this marathon tomorrow, eek!

We can figure it out together 🙂

I can’t WAIT to do an ironman 😀 …I don’t know that I will but I can’t wait for your recap to see if I’ll even want to 🙂

YAY for new readers and giveaways I want that sunbutter! mmmmmmmm

PS: I’m telling EVERYONE this – if you take the “word verification” off your comments, you’ll get more 😀

You’re going to look just as badass as those crazy Boulder athletes just by being there, so yay for finally picking one! I like your blog without the giveaway, but I’m always down for free stuff 😉 (one of the things I miss about walking around CU during the beginning of each semester lol)

I do believe my schedule might look like that next year too! I’m thinking of the Lake to Lake, never raced up there and Boulder again this year, see if I can’t do a little better. How fun it will be to see you around!
