For some reason, it just seems easier to run straight out my door. But you know what happens then? I run on pavement. Ugh. And I see lots of people. Double ugh. (Not that I don’t like people, but I like to enjoy my runs in a peaceful state!) And I have to leash Tals, if she gets to come, and we all know how out of control behaved my dog is on a leash! As in, not at all.

No, I am not Jennifer Aniston (sigh) and that is not Tally. Unfortunately, I don’t have any real pictures of Tally pulling me cause quite honestly, I would never dare to run Tals on a leash while holding valuable and breakable objects. Never in a million years!
Anyway, that long-winded tangent is leading up to me taking Tals and heading to a trail nearby for some trail running. You might remember my last disastrous run here from awhile back—wait, I mean walk! This time around was much better, and the day was beautiful!
Please observe Tals NOT on the leash. Awesome!
We got up early enough and headed out, but I kinda forgot that winter is here. It was already 9am but the temps were still hovering around *28. Unfortunately, it looked gorgeous so I didn’t realized it was so nippy and didn’t bring anything to cover my ears. Oops. I ended up having to bail out early because I couldn’t feel my ears, but it’s cool–just getting outside made me happy for the rest of the day!

One more thing that I simply have to share: Jog.fm! Now, maybe I’m way behind the bell curve on this one, but maybe not. I figure it’s a 50/50 chance. It’s a website where you list the pace you run, or your goal pace, and it gives you a huge list of music that has the appropriate BPM (beats per minute) to match that pace. Make sense? I was playing around with it last night and it’s very cool. I think it would be a great general pacer if you were without a Garmin or something!
Who’s going out of town for Turkey Day?!
