I’m very excited because Lauren over at A Duck on the Run awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award! Although it’s been a few days, I definitely didn’t forget about it 🙂
There are a few basic rules with this award:
1. You have to thank the giver, and provide a link to the post. Thanks to Mrs. Q!!! (Seriously, she has the coolest last name!)
1. I can’t wait till I actually buy my own house instead of living in an apartment. Why? Because unlike most people, I can’t wait to landscape my own yard. Even better? I love the yard maintenance that comes with that!
2. I’ve done a lot of traveling and have been to upwards of 30 countries and 5 continents. It’s an addiction!
3. I’m not the best cook in the world, but I really love to bake. I just pulled some oatmeal pumpkin muffins out of the oven and they smell delicious!
4. I grew up as a dancer: I was captain of my hs team, danced for the competitive team at CU-Boulder, instructed at a studio, and then even danced professionally for a year for one of the pro sports teams here in Colorado. Then I decided 25 years of dance was enough and I switched over into the outdoor sport/triathlon world. Never looked back!
5. I’m fluent in Spanish and realized how useful this language is a few years ago when I was in Cairo, Egypt of all places! We were lost in downtown Cairo and obviously, no one spoke English; just Arabic. I finally found a man that spoke Spanish and he gave me wonderful directions back to our hotel!
6. I’m a total book nerd, and am always on the lookout for something new to read. Feel free to offer me any suggestions about a great book!
7. I’m finishing up graduate work in Special Ed and one day, I’d like to own my own outdoor education program for kiddos with special needs.

Thank you!!!!! I just got this award a couple of weeks ago but was awarded two more times so I might just do it again 🙂 Obviously people just want to keep learning random things about me…RIGHT?!?!
LOL Thanks, Heather! Everyone always loves the last name! haha. Before my hubby and I were even dating, one of my friends heard his last name and instantly said “You have to marry him.” just because of the last name!
I had no idea that she was predicting the future! LOL

These are fun to read, I am in awe over the 30 countries, I dont like to travel, been to 2 countries, I guess that is why I am in awe over your travels.
