Every year, my mom, my best friend, myself, and a few other friends “adopt a family” through the Denver Rescue Mission. Last night, Angel and I had to drive down to deliver the presents after my mom’s surgery, and those snowflakes started coming down!!

Anyway, I was still skeptical until I got a text this morning at 5am from Regis, the university where I am getting my M.Ed at. The text said campus was closed. Once I read that, I knew this storm meant business!
After stumbling out of bed, I looked out the window and I have to admit–I got SO EXCITED!! I immediately loaded on all of my snow gear, grabbed Tally’s leash, and headed outside.
There is a large greenbelt behind my apartment complex, and usually, there is a path that winds through the area. Today, I was the first person out there, and I realized that leashing Tally made absolutely no difference. The snow is so crazy deep that it was a struggle for the two of us to walk through it!!
