Who Likes to Eat?! (Giveaway!)

How’s that for catching your eye?!

A few weeks ago, Tricia from PopChips contacted me about possibly checking out the chips for a giveaway. Well, here is the thing; I’m not a massive fan of chips. Do I love chips? Um, yes please. However, I know how much not-so-good stuff is poured into them, so if I am going to have a vice, I typically go for the sugary chocolate route. My sis and I always laugh– she is all about chips and salt while I adore a good sugar-fest.

However, when doing a little of my own research, I immediately noticed that PopChips are from Colorado! How could I not a give a local fav a chance? I asked her to send on over her samples, and told her I’d check them out and form my own opinion before agreeing to host a giveaway.

(And yes, apparently I am the ONLY one in Colorado who had never tried these chips– all of my friends thought I was insane! Apparently they are big for night nurses who snack on them at midnight…or so I’m told!)

First of all, their customer service was awesome. Yes, I know they are just down the road from me, but I came home the very next day to find a big ol’ PopChips box at my front door! And even better? These people are generous! I was definitely not expecting a massive box full of every single flavor of chips! Seriously guys, I think they sent like 30 bags or something!

I dug through the flavors and immediately zeroed in on the jalapeno flavored chips (a personal fav). I ripped open a bag and started munching. And, as I’m sure you can tell since I’m writing about it now, I loved the chips.

As PopChips advertises, they are a lot healthier than normal snacking chips. These suckers aren’t fried, but they aren’t baked either so they still have lots of flavor. Instead, the potatoes are attacked with a whole bunch of heat and pressure until they pop into a chip!

I know, kinda blurry. I swear, I’ll get better about NOT using my iPhone!

There are only 100 calories per bag, which I don’t think is that much, and the bags aren’t those little snack sized ones that go in kids’ lunch boxes: they are actually decent sized.

And my favorite part? Every time I say the name PopChips I think about VH1’s Pop Up Video from the ’80s and ’90s and that just makes me happy 🙂

So, down to brass tacks! (That expression has always killed me!) PopChips has offered one reader an entire month’s supply of PopChips! 

That is a lot of chips, guys! And I know we all have to eat, right?!
