Wrong.
Well, this crazy dog got her exercise at least.
….sure, she is all exhausted cause she is the silly dog that HAD to find a mama goose guarding her baby eggs during our run! We were trotting along all nicely and WHAM! Tally yanked my arm out of my socket and goes charging after this goose! Usually, she isn’t that bad, but there was absolutely no stopping her today and unfortunately, she was definitely tied to me via leash. And I went boom. Smack on my face, into the grass of the open space. It was probably freaking hysterical for anyone watching, especially when the mama goose came chasing her out of the brush, big ol’ goose beak open and hissing at Tals! Tally was totally bewildered by the hissing and kinda stopped and turned her head to the side in confusion. I took this as my opportunity to get away from this crazy nature experience and jumped up, dusted myself off, and booked it out of there, literally dragging Tally behind me.
So much for loving wildlife. I need a cocktail.
I still can’t tell if she is panting or simply drooling at the thought of eating the goose.
Do you ever have any crazy wildlife encounters with your pets? With my crazy dog, I have them ALL the time!!

OH NO! Sorry about your misfortunate fall, but that is hallarious. About 5 years ago my friend and I would always go for walks in this park by the river and would bring her maltese with us, unleashed as our gaurd dog. One day Sadie, the dog, saw these geese and decided it would be fun to chase them down! They made an escape for the river and Sadie went flying in right after them and they kept on swimming and so did she. Amy kept calling out, “she can’t swim, she’s never swam before!” So we tried to go after her. The river was really low that season, so the banks were muddy and saturated and as soon as we got about 6 steps down, we sank in the sludge to our knees and couldn’t get out. It was like quick sand. So we were stranded and still yelling for Sadie to come back who swam about 1/4 mile down the river! Everyone survived, but when we came back through the park looking like people from the black lagoon, we got a few stares. We laugh so hard about that day.
no crazy wildlife with a pet (dont have one) but I DID come across a small gator on a run in south florida. crazy
Yikes, a gator might freak me out! Tals and I have come across quite a few animals (mountain goats, deer, porcupines!) so maybe I’ll share those in another post 🙂
