This is ridiculous! I live in Denver. We get tons of snow in the winter, tons of sunshine year round, but very rarely do we EVER get rain. Since I work in landscaping, I know this and am not making it up. In fact, I am a pro at xeriscaping (a concept that I’m pretty sure originated in Colorado, but again, I digress!) so I know that we get minimal moisture here.
SO WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH ALL OF THE RAIN LATELY?!!! It literally has been raining for weeks and the news just said we almost have 4″ for the month of May which could be normal if you live in the PNW, but not here. It’s making me cranky cause it’s backing us up for work and I can’t get outside to work out. Sad face 🙁
In other news, guess what…..my friend Whitney’s bachelorette party is this weekend! WAHOO!!! We’re all leaving for Breckenridge tomorrow after work and spending the weekend up in a condo. The original plans were to do a lot of hiking but since the rain down here equals dumping snow up there, those plans might be nixed. We do have a girly spa day planned on Saturday, and I’m sure there will be lots of drunken shenanigans, so we’ll just see what evidence makes it back on the camera. After all, you know what they say about Breck, right? What happens in Breck stays in Breck. Wait….maybe that’s some other town. No matter. Breckenridge, watch out!!
What are y’all up to this weekend?
